First let me say, ‘hello’ to everyone. My name is Ms. Lem Ngechsor. I am a student of Onyx this year in 2018, and I am glad to share my testimony in the love of God. I really have joy and am so happy that I have the chance to share with you about my experiences, new wisdom, and personal and spiritual growth after studying in Onyx.
I am grateful to the Lord that he prepared the way for me to join Onyx class and to get to know a lot of good brothers and sisters in Christ, better. This Onyx class provides an environment to know and understand about the 5 Love of Languages of myself and all people around me. This lesson really touched my heart and also the ‘Time-line Lesson. I have listened to the life of stories of many of my ONYX brothers and sisters and those stories really encouraged my life, and also the Leadership Time-Line lesson helped me to see grace of God working through my tiny life. And more, Onyx class has great fieldwork to help students have a chance to apply and reflect on the classroom lessons after they finish the block. Actually after finishing the Personal Spiritual Formation block, we went on a field trip to Kirirom Mountain. This was a very wonderful time in my life that I had never experienced before. It was only for one day, but we had spent time together with the class and had many activities like worshipping God, summary of lessons learned, fellowship, spending quiet time with God in the forest alone, and sharing our experiences after, how we felt his presence with us, etc. The quiet time alone really touched me and encouraged me the most when I spent my time with Him. I spent about 30 minutes in meditation and tried to listen to his voice in me. In that time, I felt compassion for myself, mixed with silence and the fullness of my busy life. I can say at that moment, God’s presence was really close and friendly to me. Even though this quiet time seemed really short to me, it made me feel really great in my relationship with God in my heart and full of joy. I am really thankful to Onyx class for helping me know myself more and more, and help me have a special time in God’s presence more and more.
